I also just bought a 1985 K100RS last month. (Had a R75/6 back in 1977 until 1999 and finnally bought another bike.) Had to do work on the instruments to repair the clock and gear displays and get all the indicator lights working. Got tool and new metal crimp hose clamps to reseal manifold and throttle body hoses to eliminate air leaks. Will have to replace the fork seals soon. Changed oil, filter, fuel filter, trans. oil, rear drive oil, shaft oil. Still have to flush coolant. Found a set of BMW guages for water temp and a voltmeter with the brackets to go in the RS fairing - ordered cables - will install once cables come in. Glad to exchange resources I´ve identified and anything I learn myself. Dave |
