I´ve worked as a yamaha tech. since 1972. Racing dirt track and road racing, till the mid 80´s. I´ve always loved my job, and can honestly say i always looked forward to going to work and working on yamaha´s and racing and riding them because they are quality motorcycles. And the RD´s are and always have been one of my all time faverot bikes. I´ve recently got myself an RD basket case. I´m do not however recignise this bike as its from new zealand. its id # starts off with 1A3. I know 1A1´s and 2VO´s but not 1A3. It looks very much like a daytona yet different. Anyone know these bikes? The year? My paper work says 1978, but it isnt like 78´s from usa. Any help will be greatly appriciated
