hey i kind of have that problem with my GS 750L and i´m in the process of changing my stater and roter my biked died alot and then i had to start jumping it to get it started so if i was you i would check your roter and see if it is magnitized....get your heaviest socket after you get it off the bike and see if it holds on to the roter if not you might have to replace them.
