Hi Tim, If you´re feet set comfortably on the road when you are sitting still on the bike - you are doing fine. it is a lot of weight - but as you didn´t buy a crotch rocket for your midlife crisis (awesome btw, you´re gonna live to 100! This bike will be there at your grave ;) ) I am assuming you´re not gonna be throwing it all over the twisties, which it can handle, but you might want to consider a fork brace. All your questions can be abswered here: www.xs11.com It´s a great community. Also try here: http://www.usa123.bizland.com/merriamcycle/html/begin.html You might enjoy the book, XS Eleven Heaven by the store/site´s owner. I own a ´79SF - a full dresser with a larger standard tank - and a 1980LH - the Midnight Special, lean and mean. Great bikes, huh?. Your Mileage May Vary, -Patrick Kennedy, only 5´9" 190lbs. |
