I have a 1977 XLH 1000 that I have been refurbing for a while now ( 8 years )and have a continuois problem with the starter engaging and turning the motor 1 to 2 times before the starter spins freely. I have replaced the starter and rebuilt the Solenoid already... I am now shooting for a new Battery, but always am open for input from someone that may have already come across this issue..
