Hello, Chris
My name is Helmut from Germany, perhaps I can help you.
I think, the problem you have, is to be found in the elecric voltage onboard.
Normally it is 12 V DC.Max 14.4V DC when the Voltage controller is loading the battery.
Check the voltage, if it is more (!!) than 14,4 V DC, change the voltage controller, it additionally can damage your battery!! ( it will keep on cookin under your as** ).The bulbs must have 12V DC not 6V.
Many greetings from good old Germany,.
Helmut Junkermann (Husky 125 river since 2 years)
