I bought same a month ago. Paid $1500.00 for it, drove it home about 40 miles, where it conked out on me. push-started it, drove it to the shop. Shop opened it up, found a toasted tranny and cracked tranny case, front brake not working, and the battery wasn´t charging. That fix is costing $2500.00 with a few other minor repairs tossed in......I think, overall, I´m getting a nice deal for my first Harley.
I was told at the shop that when you use a fatbob tank (or tank not designed for sportster) - that you´ll end up not being able to get at the gasoline fully, always leaving the tank with a gallon that does not get used - this would be a waste of tank space. You might want to check that out as I´m only repeating what the wrench said.
