i have question´s about my 74 XLCH 1000cc ironhead

i was wondering if someone could tell me how many quarts of engine oil to put in my sporty,......and the biggest question i have is ,...does it use tranny oil also or does it run off all the same oil,.....bike was drained for winter and i forgot to ask when i bought it,.....any help i would greatly appreciate,....thanx!
