I recently disassembled the front fork assemble on 1976 XLCH. I had trouble removing the fork tubes from the lower steering stem (triple tree). How do I slide in the new tubes through the triple tree without scratching them? Is there a trick to this or do I need to open up the opening for the fork tube on the triple tree?
