Starter circuit breaker/fuse clicking & getting warm to touch |

Bike has been running good but a few days ago I noticed the tach was internment, then turn signals and horn quit working. Bike doesn’t turn over now, but if you keep hitting starter switch it will eventually turn over. Headlight and taillight works, and does not dim while pushing starter button. Battery was replaced a few months ago and I verified it’s still good. Cables were replaced a few years ago. I cleaned all the ground connections on the frame. Also cleaned all positive connections including both connections on starter solenoid. Replaced starter relay and removed/cleaned solenoid plunger, and still have same results. I also connected jumper wire from battery to solenoid and get the same results (does not turn over but eventually will turn over). I noticed the starter circuit breaker/fuse that keeps clicking also gets warm to touch while the key is on. I don’t know how to troubleshoot from here? I have a volt meter but not an exp expert on circuity. Thanks in advance. |
