AMF purchased HD, however they still manufactured the XLH/XLCH using the HD produced parts still available before the company had switched hands. They didnĀ“t run out of the original HD parts until 72, at which time they had to depend on their own manufacturing techniques. The 71 was put out by AMF, but is still truly an HD motorcycle. |
