I wish I could help you. My 64 XLCH did not come with a speedo, tach, odometer, or mirrors. I believe that in 1964 *electric signals* were optional! Oh, those were the days. The original 1964 Sportsters only came with a speedo and no other instrumentation. You can make a variety of speedos work but if you are looking for original equipment then you have an adventure ahead of you. I´d keep an eye on Ebay to see if one pops up. If you are trying to configure the speedo in specific integral ratios (i.e. one to one or two to one, but not one to 2.3, etc.) then I´d just install it and ride around. If it is obviously wrong then change the ratio. |
