Jumping the CB400T with a car battery shouldn´t have damaged the ignition system. The ignition on a CB400T is seprate from the coils and charging system for the battery. Because they had to use another battery to try and start the bike , That tells me the original problem causing the bike not to start is still there. Ignition problem. The CB400T has a kick starter. No car battery required.
