Oh my gosh, I´m sorry, I never saw your message! See my response to Corey. And now that I think about it, black smoke means too rich, so either you are getting too much fuel or the ignition is weak. Does it smoke all the time, even a little? I just realized that the choke may be stuck on a little, check to make sure that it is disengaging all the way when you push it in. If the choke´s OK, look to the electrical next. I hope you have this sorted out already! BTW, as I´ve mentioned before, most Jap motorcycle dealers do NOT like working on bikes more than 10 years old, so you will almost never get any decent service from them, they want you to buy a new bike or go away. |
