A few basics, I´m not a mechanic.
NEVER use automotive oil in a bike with a wet clutch. This was no problem years ago, but now the low friction additives wreak havoc.
Diesel engine oil, such as Shell Rotella, is OK.
I use the regular Honda petrolium oil in mine.
Synthetic motorcycle or diesel oil is OK. Again, no car engine oil!
Hope all is well, let us know how this comes out.
