Hello there, I just picked up a 78 Honda CB400T Hawk as my first bike a couple months ago and it has been working like a dream until today and am wondering if anybody might have experience diagnosing a faulty timing chain, as I´m told these bikes are notorious for this: Bike acts like it isn´t getting any gas - stalls all the time, I have to keep gas on at all times, no power whatsoever, sounds and runs fine when cold - problems occur when driven for 5 or so minutes. I´ve checkd a lot of th little obvious things that could be wrong - is there any way besides the symptoms to determine if it might be the drive chain that doesn´t require taking the engine apart? Any comments would be very helpful. Thanks -rich |
