I have a 75 cb 550 k, and my timing went way off. beyond adjustment. my cam chain was loose, and i thought maybe it had jumped a tooth, but i pulled off the rocker cover, and the mark on the camshaft lines up when #1 is TDC. the points are gapped properly, the plugs are decent. as far as i know the carbs are balanced and set up. it was running smoothly after having a lot of work done by the fellow i bought it from. but now i have to slip the clutch when i take off in 1st, otherwise it´ll stall. he won´t be back in town until the beginning of september. any hints on the timing problem? or just a place to start? i have new points and condensers coming, so i´ll be trying that first. thanks in advance!
