VIN #s, Frame and Motor were a match. Most states go by the frame no., although not having matching numbers can cause BIG problems in some states. I have a custom built shovel motor in mine, with Delkron cases that have a different number. NH went by the frame numbers and I ALWAYS carry the copy of the Delkron certificate with me, just in case...(pun intended). When I went to registter the bike with the new motor, I trailered the bike to the registry office, had all the proper paperwork and had the blown up original motor with me!
