My bike was build up years ago before I bought it including oversized pistons, performance cams, 4 into 1 headers, carbs, jets, breaks, and several other things. One of the oversized pistons melted so I rebuild engine.( including head, carbs, etc). to stock piston and cam size using another engine I attempted to adjust carbs myself. Sinked all 4 with sink tool , air and fuel mixture etc. Valve and timing gaps all OK, I got the bike running great considering I have never screwed with a motorcycle before. Idles, starts and excel through all gears amazing. No leaks yet. The thing is the specs say the bikes top speed should be 114 miles per hour. It never did go that fast and still does not. More like a little over 90 MPH on a flat stretch of road. Is this a bogus top speed rating or should I pay someone to maybe have carb dialed in. Has anyone actually been on one of these bike going anything near 114 MPH ?
