I just bought a 79 gs 1000 I was told the only thing wrong with it was the starter, the owner said he could jumpstart it no problem. It has sat for five years in a shed and looks great. I have been trying to jumpstart it with no luck. The gear gage will light up for one second when i pop the clutch. It has newer looking spark plugs and I have drained all the gas and have put new gas in it. Does anyone have any suggestions.
