Hi there, wish I had a neighbour like yours.I have a ´78EC with Frame no.503767 & Eng no.110047.I live in Australia & presume you are in USA.Your bike sounds like one of the first GS1000´s unless someone has slotted a GS1000 motor into a GS 750 frame. There is a ´78EC in Auckland,New Zealand with Fr no.100015 & Eng.no.100018.I have a Registry for GS 1000 no´s.Are these no´s anything like yours.See someone does care.!!Does your fuel tank have an indented srip along the side which the Suzuki emblem sits in.The GS Resource site is good for info,& Alpha Sports is good for parts & parts catalogue. They are both in the USA.My bike is being rebuilt totally, with later model runnibg gear,1100 Wiseco kit & 33mm smoothbore carbs. The first GS 1000´s had single front disc which would be scary stopping all that weight.Good luck with your bike.If you would like some pics of my GS1000(´s) past & present, send me an email.Cheers Mark.
