I own both as well. I have tried various swaps.The exhaust system would not swap[the exhaust port on the 1000 is higherand the pipes from the 750 too close to the pan.]The side covers are different. The front fork spread is wider on the 1000. The signal flasher set-up and controls are different.The wheels should swap if you use the correct spacers. The guage package is different. Good luck Cal
