If you have to put pistons in an two stroke engine it is usually due to improper fuel- oil mixture. The oil pump on these bikes have to be correctly calibrated, also the carb must be adjusted correctly. If the bike runs lean it will run good for a while, then seize. Sounds like operator error to me.
