In what years were these bikes produced? I purchased a 78 SR 500 in 1979. and kept it until just a couple of years ago. in the mid-late 80´s I started having problems getting parts. The dealer told me that they were long out of production and parts were no longer being stocked.
Other than that it was an excellent machine, reliable, fun to drive and economical. I put a lot of miles on it and covered a lot of country. if i could find another in good shape I would consider purchasing it.
