Oil Reservoir filled up

Oil Reservoir filled up

I was driving my 85 Roadster and the oil cap flew off and oil began shooting out. When I took the oil filter off - no oil came out of it. Does anyone have any ideas of what to check to fix this problem. Is there a 1985 Roadster Manual that I can purchase?
