BIG DEE HERE= I HAVE RODE A TRIUMPH T-140-D BONNEVILLE SPECIAL SINCE IT WAS NEW BUT I WANTED A 83 XLS ROADSTER WHEN THEY CAME OUT BUT THINGS DIDN`T WORK OUT. I LIVE IN SO.CALIF. IN THOSE DAYS AND IT WAS AT LOMITA H-D. DAMN IT WAS BEAUTIFUL BUT EXPENSIVE $6500 OUT THE DOOR MY TRIUMPH WAS $2600 OUT THE DOOR IN 1980 SO IT WAS A CHUNK OF CASH THEN. LIVING IN OHIO I GO TO VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE DAYS AT MID-OHIO WHICH 1000S OF BIKES SHOW UP AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A XLS ROADSTER 83 OR 84 OVER THESE PAST 21 YRS. YEAR I HAVE TO SAY YOU HAVE AN EXTREMELY RARE MOTORCYCLE HOLD ON TO IT. |
