I HAVE AN 83 ROADSTER. IT WAS ORIGINALLY MY GRANDFATHERS. HE PURCHASED IT FROM McMOHON CYCLES, ON BEAVERFALLS,PA. ANYWAY, THE ONLY MODIFICATIONS EVER DONE TO THIS BEAST WERE, BY THE DEALER, AND B4 THE BIKE WAS PURCHASED. THE ONLY THING THAT %!¤ES ME OFF ABOUT THIS BIKE IS THAT, 4 SOME REASON, THE CARB CANNOT BE ADJUSTED, THERE ARE NO IDLE SCREWS TO REGULATE RPM, OR IDLE SPEED. PLUS, THE BOWL RAPPIDLY FILLS WITH GAS, AND CONSTANTLY DRIPS GAS OUT OF THE OVERFLOW TUBE. THERE ARE NO MANUFACTURERES NAMES STAMPED ON THE CARB, BUT THERE IS THE LETTER, k, IT MAY STAND FOR KEON, BUT I AM NOT SURE. POINT BEING. THE BIKE ONLY HAS A LITTLE OVER 12,000 MILES ON IT, AND LIKE I SAID THE BEAST HAS NEVER BEEN MODIFIED W/ ANY AFTER MARKET PARTS. THERE IS NO WAY I AM WILLING TO PAY SOMEONE 65$ PER HOUR TO WORK ON MY BIKE, SO I DO ALL THE WORK MY SELF. I HAVE A SERVICE MANUAL, AND I GET SOME INPUT FROM THE LOCAL "BOYS". SO WITHOUT TAKING THE EASY ROUTE AND BUYING AN AFTERMARKET CARB, DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY INFO OR TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO THIS ORIGINAL CARB. I AM REBUILDING THIS CARB, ACTUALLY OUT OF 2 IDENTICAL CARBS, ALONG W/ NEW GASKETS AND "O" RIGS. I WOULD GREATLY APPRICIATE ANY ADVICE. ALSO, I NOTICE ALOT OF OIL ON MY PLUGS, ESPECIALLY AFTER A WEEK OR SO OF RIDING. AND I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS ASSOCIATED W/ THIS CARB, OR IF THIS IS NORMAL FOR A HARLEY. SEE YOU IN THE WIND.............................ROCK
