Woodbugs oil leak

Hi. I just received a 78 XS 400 and did a little work to it. I am ready to take it to the street and now I notice that oil is leaking out of my left side header, along with exhaust! Besides the exhaust leak, do I have a major problem here or what? If I do, is it worth it to just buy a new motor? I didn´t do any work to the motor besides having the carbs re-built and replaced the exhaust. Please help me. Thankyou. Jeff
