I am just about to complete the rebuilding of my 78ยด 750 special SE. The following sites will provide an abundance of parts. www.partsnmore.com (the best) www.denniskirk.com and occasionally www.jcwhitney.com. As for your question about getting it started. Since the carbs may be old and the float valves may be stuck..your cylinders may be full of gas. You should have a mechanic inspect your carbs -rebuild kits are dirt cheap on the partsnmore site- then check your piston rings. Do this stuff first, and you should be o.k. oh yeah... go to www.yamaha-motors.com and to the motorcycle section..they have a new "empart" system that has diagrams of all your parts should you need some new stuff. Good luck..Mark
