ive spent $1,600 on new iginition, wiring harness, water pump, and what all, and the problem persists. you turn the key and everything electrical works, but thee is no engine turnover. no noise. complete silence. it has been usggested this could be the starter. does that sound right to anyone? i brought it to the dealership and they said it "caught fire" and burned a cable. it started to smoke when i drove it out of the dealer the first time, then did what i said above. they trailered it back and then it made it 20 miles before i stopped. and when i started it, it did the same thing. i am lothe to take it back to them, and they have piublically stated they dont want to work on anything older than 15 years anyways. most mechancis here in their own shops are either HD or professors that charge you many hours and do little. please help.
