I´m in NC, however I grew up in Alberta. I have been following the topless posts though. Not sure where I stand on that idea. One part of me thinks it would be fun, but the other side of me thinks that it would cause a large throw back in the recovery of the biker image. Women are just starting to really make a mark in the biker world and I´d hate to see us push it back again my using our assets to make a point. I don´t think the cancer society would be into using topless riding to make a mark particularly since so many cancer survivers have lost their breasts to cancer-it would sort of be like throwing that in their face. I think if you want to raise funds for the society you should base it on your bike skills, knowledge, and dedication to the cause.
One idea I have been kicking around (I´ve helped found the Carolinas chapter of the Iron Cowgirls) is to see if and how many companies I can get to sponsor me on a per mile basis. I´ve voed to ride 35,000 miles next year. From what I´m hearing that is an almost unheard of mileage unless your retired and doing nothing but riding around the country several times...Still I think I can do it and since I´ve already had a handful of men tell me I can´t...Well, I don´t know about you, but I like a challenge and I love to prove men wrong on stuff like that! :-)
