if you really want to go for it, then go for it. The problem is that, it doesn´t matter who you are, 750 is a lot of power for a starter bike, especially for a ´round town bike. If you are up for the challenge, then, by all means, grab that bike by the forks and ride on! but 750 is a hefty begining, I mean, with a honda-made 750, your lookin´ at 50-75 hp. Granted, the bike will be heavier, but it´ll still have all the get-up-and-go that you´ll be needing. As for the seat, you´re looking at a seat height of 27" or so, but you also gotta wrap your legs around the 36" width of the Shadow´s beastly engine. I´d say, you should go for it, it´s still an MSRP of $6k, but if you plan on keeping it as your main bike forever, then it´ll be an investment that you´ll be happy with. and it´s honda, it can´t be bad. In fact, I´m building my project scooter around a honda 550 engine (1977 CB 550 Four K), and the reliability is wonderous. If you get your 750, enjoy it, but beware the power!
