Hey, I just bought an ´87 535 as my first bike. The owner was an older guy who hadn´t ridden it that much while he owned it for the past 4 years. Anyway, I recently went on a ride for about an hour w/o checking the battery water level before I left. I got to my destination but the bike died 5 blocks away from my apartment. I refilled the battery and charged it and now the bike will start perfectly; however, when I attempt to shift the bike into any gear it dies instantly. It almost seems like a clutch problem because the gear shifter moves easily w/o holding the clutch in. Any answers? thanks. |
