Standard exhaust was practically silent at low and midrange revs. Do 100mph with no noise to attract the fuzz.
Beat the much more highly tuned Kawasaki zzr1100 from a standing start drag race to 120mph.
Could quietly and smoothly pull away from traffic lights at just over tickover 1100RPM and still beat all the tin-tops.
1430mm wheelbase and 105mm trail, sport bike chassis dimensions made it nimble in corners.
gsf1200s top fairing allowed long long distance cruising without tiring.
Punched well above it´s weight and was CHEAP to buy. Seat was only downside. Got crushed nuts if carrying a pillion.
