I´ve had my VS800GL about two years now and average about 45-48 mpg. Small tank limits range - the only complaint I have ever made about the bike. The bike is a ´96 model with 11,000 miles on it, about half are mine. Best bike I ever owned in over 25 years of riding. Power to weight ratio makes it nimble, quick, and plenty of power for 2up when my wife comes along.
