Eddie,
I forgot to tell you in my last message. You most likely have a fuel hose leak. Check hose going from the petcock to the carburator and also the gas line going from the gastank to the carburator.
Move the bike to a different location away from the gas on the floor. have some one try to start it while you watch the hoses and carburator for any leaks. One of the hoses may have a crack and is spraying gas onto the engine rather than gas coming out of the engine.
