A few questions

Hello all, I´m a beginning rider who just purchased a used 1996 Suzuki Savage LS650. I chose this bike over the GZ250 or a Honda Rebel since I didn´t want to have to ´trade up´ once I got the hang of it all. This bike is the right size and weight for my small frame.

Anyhow, when I picked it up the other day, the battery had gone dead in the showroom, since it had just been sitting for awhile. The salesperson charged it up for me and did a few laps around the parking lot before I loaded it up. When I got it home, I started it up and began working on getting the hang of using the clutch and throttle. Needless to say, I killed it 5 times before deciding to try again the next day.

The problem is, the batter is about dead again. The lights will come on, but faintly, and the horn is also faint. All I get when I press the start button is a clicking noise. From what I´ve read, it´s most likely the battery (it was only quick charged at the shop, just enough to get it going). My trouble is, I can quite figure out just where to hook up the charger cables to. I took off the batter cover on the right side and can see the negative (I´m assuming it´s the negative, since it´s black) but where in the heck is the positive terminal?

Can anyone help with this?
