I purchased this 1988 Electra-Glide Sport new from Columbia Motorcycle company in Vancouver, Washington of that year. Since then, I have ridden & maintained it for approximately 40,000 miles of mixed city/hwy rding; with svereal long rides to Sturgis South Dakota. Mechanically the motor has been reliable as a "pet rock" and has never given me one bit of trouble. Albeit, I did have to replace an alternator that was "friedĀ“ by a mal-functioning regulator. Also, in search of better performance, I installed a 40 MM Mikuni Carb, Andrews EV-13 Cam, S & S adjustable pushrods, High-flow aircleaner, Accel High-performance Coil & plug leads together with a pair of Kerker-built, glass-pack |
