They manufactured the VT1100c for several years. The Shadow style in the pic was built with little to no change from 1987 thru 1996. In 1997, the "Spirit" was born, bearing only minor changes to the frame, tank and some of the aesthetics. In 1995 the Shadow A.C.E. was born to offer a similar look, feel and sound to those who could not, or refused to, buy a Harley.
My 1988 Shadow VT1100c has over 40k miles and is still in perfect running/riding condition. This is a great bike.
