From memory I think mine took 1.3 Litres. If you ran yours dry then you will almost certainly have toasted your rockers and valves as this is the highest point on a basic engine and thus the first to suffer when one runs the old girl dry. Even if the bike still runs then it will more than likely have suffered damage.
