My 89 gsx-r750K also jumped out of second gear. Dropping the clutch in second gear at max revs, body hovering over the front wheel so it didn´t lift on take-off at high revs probably caused the engagement dogs on second gear to round off. You´d have to be brave or insane to drop the clutch at 13,000 in first gear on that bike. You can buy aftermarket special heavy duty 2nd gear cogs for the later models but the cost of installation is the price of a good used engine. |
