Just bought a 850G and loving it. Shocked that it weighs so much but it handles just great! To my question: why didn´t they put a steering lock on this particular year because if they did, they sure hid it from me! Also wonder why the VIN number is four numbers short. Got some grief from Geico but then they researched it and said that certain years around that time had shorter numbers. Oh well.. really wondering about the steering lock and if there isn´t one which I don´t think there is, can anyone suggest a good one? I had one on my previous bike but when I try to put it on the front disc, it got wedged really bad and I couldn´t get it to release so I finally smacked it as hard as I could with a ball peeing hammer and it came right off on the first hit and didnt leave a mark on the rotor! Just a tiny little speck of paint removed. Then I threw that lock as far as I could throw it. Haha. Cheers!
