Hi, I had exactly the same problem. All petrol had gone into the cranckase: I didn´know it and I started the engine - hopefully with no damage. The problem was the petrol tap: I opened it and it was damaged ont he inside parts. Aluminium was strangelly rusted and it cannot be petrolproof enough. Petrol was slowly leaking into the carbs and then into the engine. So the only solution is to change the tap. I´ve found an used one on the net so it was nice but I know a new one is quite expensive (don´t remember the price but I´d say arount EUR100). I suggest you to open the tap and to see if all the rubber components are in good condition - it can alos be the problem-. Cheers Louis |
