GPZ1100 fuel tap, petrol in oil? |

Hi all i have a very nice 96 GPZ1100 - little problem has arisen, i put £6 worth of fuel in yesterday, didn´t move the bike, next day - tank was empty again, my guess is it has leaked into the oil, as when i removed the oil cap to check there was a smell of petrol from within the crankcase, it started then when it got a little warm was reluctant to start, now i´m not mechanically minded but i know i should drain the oil and my guess is a fault with the fuel tap - new gaskets required? So am i correct in my assumptions and what´s your idea of my next steps that i should take/check? I´ve had many Kawas - ZZR´s Z1300, Z1R, VN1500 etc - any advice would be most welcome. Any of u guys in London - happy to pay someone to pop round and fix this. Cheers. |
