I found that do to the 6 bolt valve cover that the plug seals leak after time and foul the plug, this caused gas to go back into my airfilter. When I replaced the valve cover gaskets I added a washer to eack bolt and that gave me better bite and presure on the seals and fixxed the problem. Good luck
