Hello, my name is Paul and I just purchased an 87 virago 535. I gave it a quick test at the time of purchase and the bike is in excellent condition. A one owner with 8K and serviced by Yamaha. Here is my problem, it is anemic on power. I have a virago 250 that is faster. What gives. I thought I was taking a step up not down. I noticed now that the early models are rated at 27 hp and the later ones at 44hp. Is there a way with jetting or new carbs to wake up this 535. I cant believe there is anything wrong with the bike due to its history and condition. Any help will be appreciated.
Sincerely
Paul
