I just bought a 1988 virago 535. It ran great. However my fifteen year old son started it up and was shifting through the gears with the clutch in with the bike standing still. He ended up locking the shifter. I was able to free up the shifter by rocking the bike back and forth but now the neutral light never lights and the bike won´t start even in gear with the clutch in and kickstand raised. Anybody hear of this before? Any solutions? Do I rebuild the tranny?
