I own a 1987 Tour Glide Classic, and love it. However yesterday I belive the transmission broke on it. It has a speed and is wondering if there are any differences in Harley 5 speeds because I think it will need replacing. I was driving at or about 70mph when all of a sudden it sounded like the primary chain was spinning on stripped sprockets, that is not the case because I removed the primary cover and everything is sound in there. The problem is behind the clutch pack... Ie transmission.. Any advice from this forum? Or what the tranny info?
