Hi Guys,(& girls), i need advice about my 83 xl600r. I went to start it yesterday,i turned on the ignition and the neutral light came on as usual. I kicked her over and she started first time, great. After about ten miles i went to turn left, flicked the indicator...nothing...no flashing at all....i tried the other side...nothing...tried the horn...nothing. So i pulled over and knocked her into neutral...no neutral light either...engine was still running, and the headlight was on, but no ancilliary electrics at all....not even brake or tail lights. So i turned round and went home. When i got there, i tested the battery...2.4 volts. I took out the fuse and checked it...all ok...the battery voltage recovered to 5.6 volts. I haven´t had a chance to test anything else as it´s been raining cats and dogs here...Any ideas as to the problem? I think maybe reg/rectifier....any ideas how to test it? Or the alternator?? Any help/advice would be appreciated. chriszzr600@ntlworld Cheers,Chris..
