I´ve had 96 ZL600 since 05 and love it. As of late though, I have had a problem with the bike starting intermitently. The bike was sitting for about 6 months because I was deployed, and when I got back I had to jump start the bike in order to get it started and that was to be expected but over the past week the bike doesn´t always start. I would start the bike and it would start like a champ and then I would drive it to the local gas station and when I went to go start it to leave the gas station, nothing would happen. The battery would crank but it wouldn´t start and eventually the battery would die and I would have to get a jump start again. When I jumped it, it would kick over right away. It seems like everytime I try to start the motorcycle with in 5 to 10 minutes of shutdown, this problem would happen. Now if I let the bike cool off for a while, then there would be no problem and the bike would start up. I don´t want to take the bike on too far of a trip until I know what is causing this. I currently am in the military and live in Italy, so there is a language barrier and no dealer is able to work on the bike because its american spec and they don´t have a manual. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM AND TELL ME OR LEAD ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION OF WHAT IS CAUSING MY BIKE NOT TO START WHEN IT IS HOT? AND WHY IT STARTS INTERMITENTLY???
